A four-month-old baby fell into the water in the Virgin Islands in the United States - and remained lifeless.

Sarah Pederman, the 13th daughter of Chabad emissaries in the Caribbean, Ania and Rabbi Asher Pederman, drowned on Tuesday evening in the city of St. Thomas. The details of the baby's funeral have not yet been released.



Her mother jumped into the water to try to save the baby - but without success The mother herself drowned, was suffocated and is in critical condition in the emergency room of a hospital in Miami, Florida, with her son and the daughters of the extended family by her side.
