In order to "take into account the difficulties experienced by subscribers", the railway company indicated on Thursday that it had decided to take

For rail users in the Oise, it looks like a little early Christmas present.

On the eve of a new social movement at the SNCF, the railway company announces this Thursday that it has "decided to support a 30% reduction over the months of September 2022 to February 2023" for weekly subscribers, monthly and annual TER.

A measure taken by SNCF Voyageurs “to take into account the difficulties experienced by subscribers”.

“We are aware of the difficulties that TER travelers experience on a daily basis in Hauts-de-France, concedes in a press release Jean-Aimé Mougenot, national TER director of SNCF Voyageurs.

Currently, their expectations and those of our organizing authority, the Hauts-de-France region, are not yet all met.

This is why we take our responsibilities by paying this compensation to subscribed travellers.

Refunds from January 2023

"Fully assumed by SNCF Voyageurs", this compensation granted by the company represents, for example, a reduction of 245.50 euros for an annual Compiègne - Paris Nord subscriber, or a reduction of 118.40 euros for an annual Lille - Douai subscriber. .

The SNCF specifies in its press release that weekly and monthly subscribers are invited to go to the TER Hauts-de-France website from January 9, 2023 to obtain a refund of up to 30% of purchases already made.

“Reimbursements for January and February 2023 will also be made on the TER site”, she indicates.

As for annual subscribers, a 90% reduction on their monthly payments for January and February 2023 will automatically be realized for those whose subscription was valid in September 2022.

If this gesture made by TER Hauts-de-France is welcome for users, whose nerves have been strained since September, it is far from solving everything.

“This does not detract from our priority, assures Jean-Aimé Mougenot.

All my teams are committed to rectifying the situation as quickly as possible.

This is the whole point of our mobilization to sustainably reduce redundancies and accelerate recruitment.

21 additional trains added on December 12

Since October 24, the TER service has been subject to an adapted transport plan (PTA) which has led to the elimination of some 140 trains each day in the region.

Objective, according to the SNCF: “to ensure better reliability and stability of the transport offer.

“Since the adaptation of the offer, last minute cancellations have been reduced by “55%”, and the rate of canceled trains has passed this week “below the 3% threshold”, details the SNCF.

To quickly find an increase in supply, the railway company launched a vast recruitment plan in the fall with “440 new employees in 2022, including 110 drivers”.

Recent hirings have already made it possible to increase the offer: 17 trains were added on November 14, and 21 additional trains will be added again on December 12, assures the SNCF.
