Russia's permanent representative to international organizations in Vienna, Mikhail Ulyanov, confirmed that China, Iran and Russia have become a new triangle in international diplomacy.
"The permanent missions of China, Iran and Russia held fruitful tripartite consultations on issues of common concern," Ulyanov said on his Twitter account, adding: "Doesn't this seem like a new triangle in multilateral diplomacy involving China, Iran and Russia?"
Ulyanov pointed out that this formula can be easily expanded, because there are many countries, perhaps most of them, support a multilateral world, and oppose attempts to keep the unipolar world alive at any cost.
Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi said during a meeting with his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov on the sidelines of the G20 summit in Indonesia last month: Beijing is ready to work with Russia and like-minded countries to decisively promote multipolarity in the world.
