A fire broke out in Wan Chai.
At about 3 a.m., in a commercial and residential building at Nos. 275-277 Lockhart Road, it was reported that a fire broke out in one of the units, and flames gushed out of the windows.
The firefighters arrived at the scene, set up steel ladders and sprayed water from top to bottom. At the same time, they sent two teams of smoking caps into the building to assist in the evacuation. 14 residents were evacuated to a safe location. The cause of the fire has not yet been known.
According to news from the scene, a man was found unconscious in the building with no breathing pulse. The ambulancemen performed cardiopulmonary resuscitation and then installed an automatic external cardiac compressor. He was then sent to the hospital for emergency treatment, but he died in the end; Confirmed apparently dead.
It was reported that the deceased were relatives and lived at the same address. One of the men, about 60 years old, was sent to the hospital and died. The 89-year-old man who died at the scene was found charred, and a knife was found beside him. Both had stab wounds.

The site of the fire, Nos. 275-277 Lockhart Road, Wanchai, is called Jinle Building, which is used for both commercial and residential purposes. The lowest floors are commercial units; the fifth floor and above are residential units.

He said that the unit where the fire started was on the fifth floor, and thick smoke was coming from all directions.
In addition, another elderly woman living on the seventh floor was suspected of inhaling smoke and felt unwell, so she had to board an ambulance for treatment.
