Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian confirmed that America and Western countries encouraged riots and terrorism inside Iran by using false information, indicating that his country "will never be idle" regarding other options.
During a phone conversation with UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres today, Abdollahian denied Western accusations of his country sending weapons to Russia to be used in the special military operation in Ukraine, saying: "These accusations are unfounded and aim to legitimize Western arms aid to Ukraine." .
Abdollahian explained that the roots of the war in Ukraine are due to the wrong policy of NATO's expansion to the east, noting Iran's continuous efforts to stop the war between the two countries and achieve sustainable peace in Europe.
In turn, Guterres stressed that dialogue and diplomacy are the right solution to solve the problems of the region and the world, noting the Iranian government's initiative to form a national committee to deal with the events inside the country, saying: "It is a step that deserves appreciation."
Guterres stressed the need to continue regional dialogue to resolve crises in the region, expressing his appreciation for Tehran's support and constructive cooperation in this direction.
