Argentina dispels doubts, plays well and advances to the round of 16 1:24

The group stage is over and it is already clearer how the clashes will be in the round of 16 in Qatar.
There were several upsets and although several of the initial title contenders advanced, there is no dominant team.
None had a perfect performance and, especially with the number of goals that have been scored in added minutes, it is an open World Cup.
This Friday
, South Korea achieved an impressive feat: they beat
Portugal
(already classified) 2-1 at the end
and, with that goal, they went to the round of 16 and eliminated Uruguay.
With the same points and the same goal difference (0), the South Koreans advance by having scored more goals during the group stage.
An epic ending for the Asians, and a very painful one for the South Americans.
Cameroon, for its part, surprised
Brazil
, which was already classified.
They defeated it 1-0 towards the end, but it did not help the Africans, because
Switzerland
defeated Serbia 3-2 and ended up with 6 points, the same as Brazil.

left doubts but qualified thanks to Germany: La Roja lost 2-1 with

The tiebreaker factor to go to the round of 16
If two teams were tied on points, the tiebreaker was defined in the first instance by goal difference: the subtraction between the goals scored and those received.
Whoever had the best number in that section among the tied teams was in the best position.
Thus, the wins by Spain, England and France were very beneficial if they needed a tiebreaker (and very disadvantageous for Costa Rica, Iran and Australia for that very reason).
It worked for Spain.
If the remote scenario of a tie in goal difference occurred, the next criterion to define the position is the highest number of goals scored in the group stage matches, according to FIFA.
