A 26-year-old resident of Lakia was seriously injured today (Friday) by a gunshot on Route 60 near Omer, hours before his wedding.
The shooting was apparently done in revenge for a murder in the settlement about a month ago, this was due to a conflict within the family.
He came independently to receive treatment at Soroka Hospital in Be'er Sheva.
The groom is a member of the Elsana' family, and the shooting happened while he was traveling in his wedding convoy, a few hours before it began.
Police officers who arrived at the scene of the shooting, investigated the case and at the end of a situation assessment conducted by the commander of the Negev region, Sub-Commissioner Nachshon Nagler, the continuation was imposed on the Negev central unit.

The shooting was done in revenge for the murder of Zainab al-Tsana, a 40-year-old woman who was shot to death about a month and a half ago.
She was hit by the shooting while sitting in a car with her son, who was the target of an assassination attempt as part of a conflict between clans.
A medical team evacuated her to Soroka Hospital, where she was later pronounced dead.
