Today, the Lebanese Ministry of Health announced the registration of 3 new cases of cholera during the past 24 hours.
In a statement, the Ministry stated that the total number of infections registered with the epidemic in Lebanon reached 648, while the cumulative number of deaths stabilized at 20.
According to international figures, cholera affects between 1.3 million and 4 million people annually in the world, and leads to death between 21 thousand and 143 thousand people.
