Two young people were sentenced on Friday by British justice for having attempted to steal a judge's motorcycle from the very premises of a London court.

The case dates back to April 16, 2021. That day in the early afternoon, the two young people, then minors, accompanied by a third suspect who has not been identified, arrive by moped in the early afternoon. -noon at Snaresbrook Court, London police said in a statement.

Pushing the motorcycle, they found themselves stuck in the courthouse, whose gates had been closed by security.

They then abandoned everything on the spot, including their grinder, before fleeing on foot by climbing the gates.

Arrested on May 27, 2021, the two young people, now aged 18 and 19, were sentenced on Friday.

One was given a 21-month suspended prison sentence, 25 days of rehabilitation activities and three months of curfew under an electronic bracelet.

The other was the subject of an educational measure for 18 months and will have to perform 12 hours of community service.

Each was ordered to pay each 500 pounds sterling (583 euros) to the judge.
