In "Marriage at First Sight" not only dreamlike love stories are created.

Nadine's husband Christoph fled while they were still on their honeymoon.

She looks back on the incident with an honest letter.

Berlin – As the saying goes – “In good times and in bad”.

Unfortunately, for "Marriage at First Sight" participant Nadine (35), this vow did not come true in the new season of the dome show.

Because her husband Christoph (29), with whom she made such a great couple and tied the knot for eternity on the big day in front of the cameras, took to his heels during the honeymoon and fled from his bride.

It sounds sad, and it was - both for the blonde Berliner and for the viewers, who cheered every episode with the new couple.

"Finish with everything": "Marriage at first sight" candidate Nadine shares a public letter

It should have been particularly disappointing for Nadine that Christoph did not even show up for the grand finale of the dating format, in which all candidates reviewed the events of the season and decided either for or against each other.

The groom who fled made a statement after "Marriage at First Sight", but this could hardly repair the broken happiness and the embarrassment of being left sitting in front of the entire television audience.

After the last episode flickered across the screens, Nadine shared an emotional letter to herself on Instagram, in which she looked back on what had happened in the last few weeks – to "be able to wrap things up better".

"You were so overjoyed and thought, 'It's finally here!

I'll be getting married soon!'",

she remembers, "And then the big day came, the anticipation was huge and the wedding was a dream." But the honeymoon, the first trip as a married couple, was a real test for Nadine and Christoph: "Unfortunately, there weren't always nice moments that weren't great for either of you.

Somehow you talked past each other there and apparently everyone misunderstood the other.”

The unique concept of "marriage at first sight"

The Sat.1 show "Marriage at First Sight" delivers exactly what it promises.

Singles looking for the love story of their lives meet - but not on dates and getting to know each other carefully, but directly at the wedding altar.

The couples were carefully curated by experts, but no one knows whether the romance will last in the end.

But it doesn't matter whether it's cuddling or a heap of broken glass - it's always entertaining.

Like many other reality formats, the dome show comes from Denmark, where it is called "Gift Ved Første Blik".

In the USA, "Married at First Sight" is already in the starting blocks for the 16th season and is the best proof that the unusual concept has met with a great response from viewers.

Nadine also speaks openly and honestly to Christoph's surprising escape from the hotel and explains that she spent the night before alone in the room to clear her head.

She hadn't imagined waking up the next morning without her husband.

"It was a shock for you, because you never wanted to give up so quickly," she addresses her touching lines to herself, "You found him interesting and wanted to know who he really is.

Unfortunately, that didn't happen."

Nevertheless, Nadine is forgiving towards her refugee husband – she thanks him for the wedding and wishes him “a wonderful life to continue”.

Above all, she makes it clear that she does not regret her time at "Marriage at First Sight": "Because without this experiment, you would not have learned so much about yourself and you would not have met so many lovely people." Even if it was with true love didn't work out - she can certainly look back on such a different kind of TV experience for a long time.
