: the MGB officer H, who was at the scene of the attack in Hawara, recounts the difficult moments when he realized he was in a terrorist incident and the way he neutralized the terrorist who hit his fellow driver.

"While traveling on the highway, we spotted a vehicle in the left lane in which there were two women and ten others gathered around. We stopped by and realized that everything was fine and nothing unusual. Half a minute after that, when we started driving, a terrorist emerged from behind us and put his hand into the jeep," said K. "I pulled out the gun, shot the terrorist 3 bullets and he fell. Luckily the medic saved my driver who was bleeding profusely from the head...".

"Everything happened in a matter of seconds, H's driver shouted at me, they stabbed me, I'm injured. He was bleeding heavily," says the medic who arrived at the scene.

"I bandaged him with a pad, it didn't help. I put a tourniquet on him. After that, aid forces arrived and we evacuated the wounded man to the hospital where we continued to treat the injured MP as well."

"We live in a security reality of incessant attempts to harm. After seeing the scene of the incident and after speaking with the MP I understood the sense of danger that was there.

"If they had taken the weapon from the MP, we would have entered a bloody Shebat. Therefore, from the moment we understood the severity of the attack, H received full support for the speed of the determined response and the professionalism with which he operated in a hostile environment," the MGB commander clarified in response to the recent incident in Hawara.
