More than 100 artworks included in the exhibition (The Role of Art in Building Humanity) produced by the works of children and young people for the summer of 2022, which was inaugurated by the Ministry of Education today, at the Bassam Bakura Center for Fine Arts in Damascus.
During the opening of the exhibition, which included drawings and handicrafts, the Minister of Education, Dr. Darem Tabaa, pointed out its importance as it is the result of training these students in the Ministry's training centers to show their talents and creativity and develop their skills, indicating the need to generalize these centers in all governorates.
In his turn, the first instructor of art education in Damascus and the general supervisor of the Fine Arts Centers, Mowaffaq Makhoul, pointed out the importance of exhibitions in linking the theoretical side with the practical side, and encouraging students to show their talents and hobbies within the training centers of the Directorate of Education in Damascus, where these centers receive students for free during holidays and summer. .
Director of Educational Centers in Damascus, Jalal Al-Ghazi, explained that the number of educational centers for the arts in the city of Damascus is 15, distributed over the area of the governorate, and they receive children and adolescents of different ages to train them, develop their artistic talents, and encourage them.
