The Anti-Narcotics Branch in Damascus arrested 8 people on charges of drug trafficking, and confiscated a quantity of narcotics in their possession.
The Ministry of Interior stated in a statement, a copy of which SANA received today, that the Anti-Narcotics Branch in Damascus arrested eight people who were promoting narcotic substances in several areas within the city of Damascus, and confiscated more than five kilograms of narcotic hashish and more than 3,000 narcotic Captagon pills.
The Ministry confirmed that by examining the conditions of the detainees, it was found that there were several radio stations investigating some of them for crimes of theft, promotion and abuse of narcotic substances.
