The “Simader travel agency” and the “Musikhaus Wiedemann” in Weilheim are campaigning for three aid campaigns.

Donors can do something good for people locally, but also in Ukraine and Togo.

Weilheim

– There are currently “Christmas wish trees” in the two shops.

They are equipped with trailers with

wishes from residents

of the old people's home in the county town.

According to a message, these are wishes that the residents cannot fulfill themselves and that were put together by Baroness Annabel von Bechtolsheim and the "Malteser Hilfsdienst".

Until Wednesday, December 21, donors can drop off the gifts in the two shops before they are passed on to the recipients.

Parcels for Ukraine go “where the need is greatest”

Food parcels (up to a maximum of 20 kilos) for people in war-torn Ukraine

are also being collected

at Uta Orawetz's "Simader Travel Agency" and at Josef Wiedemann's Musikhaus .

Interested parties can also order such packages by donating 25 or 40 euros (donation account: Municipality of Polling – “Solidarity Ukraine”, intended use “Carepaket”, IBAN DE65 7035 1030 0032 6841 93).

The purchase of the groceries is organized in cooperation with Felix Schimke-Klubuk and his wife Myroslava (a pediatrician from Kyiv) and with Polling's mayor Klaus Pape.

The delivery of the relief supplies should go to “where the need is greatest” in Ukraine, according to the statement.

The recipients are asked in Ukrainian to confirm receipt of the package to the donor.

The relief effort will continue until further notice.

Fundraising for school meals in a 'bitterly poor area'

For years, Uta Orawetz has been involved with her two travel agencies in Weilheim

for children in West African Togo

(we reported).

Now donations for the school meals for 350 boys and girls of the "Weilheimer Derpart village school" are requested.

"To provide a child with school meals for a school year, 50 euros is enough," the press release solicits support.

"A manageable amount with an extremely large effect, because school meals are often the only meal a day that these children, who live in extremely poor areas, get."

The donation account for this campaign: PIT Togohilfe, reference "KISS Kagnibara", IBAN DE 34 7005 3070 0031 0399 10. More information on the Togo project, for which cash donations can also be made at the "Simader Travel Agency" and the "Musikhaus Wiedemann". , is also available online.

Wishing tree at “Anders Wohnen”

For the third time in a row, there is a "wishing tree" at "Anders Wohnen Immobilien" at Schmiedstraße 14 in Weilheim during the Christmas season.

This year the campaign will benefit the "Weilheimer Tafel".

In addition to Christmas tree balls, wish lists are also attached to the “wish tree”.

Prices are given for the wishes listed – this time it is food – and passers-by can put the corresponding amount in a donation box.

Before Christmas, the money collected is used to buy the appropriate gifts, which are then given to those in need.

"Anyone who is in town to get presents can also give presents to someone they don't even know in passing," says a press release from "Anders Wohnen".

In addition to the "Wish Tree" campaign, the company also collects food for the "Weilheimer Tafel".

The following can be donated: canned goods (fish, meat, fruit, vegetables), canned soups/stews, sugar, flour, salt, pasta, rice, legumes, muesli, long-life milk, jams, honey, shower gel, shampoo, toothbrushes and toothpaste.
