all month long, Chambord puts on its clothes of light.
Like every year... or almost.
This year, sobriety obliges, the path of 100 Christmas trees which leads to the castle will be illuminated thanks to a photovoltaic power station, installed in the park.
The interior was decorated by students from the National School of Florists, on the theme "Banquet at the King's table".
For families, a special program will animate weekends and school holidays with Renaissance workshops: dance lessons, falconry, and artistic fencing.
Without forgetting the readings by the fireside.

from December 17 to 30, at 11 a.m. or 3 p.m., the Christmas show
The almost true story of François 1er will
transport the visitor to the 16th century.
Playful but historic, the piece should delight children and parents.

Cheverny Castle
The Château de Cheverny comes to the table with Christmas decorations on the theme of gluttony.

The dates

The program:
the "Château de Moulinsart" revises its classics: a hundred fir trees, installed in the six gardens of the estate, a giant tree twenty meters high as well as a novelty: a Santa Claus train fifteen days long of meters.
Inside, the rooms have been redecorated on the theme of gluttony and lead to the Orangerie, where you can enjoy a hot chocolate by the fireside.
The unmissable:
on December 18, Santa Claus will be visiting the castle from 4 p.m.
For the occasion, it's evening permission for everyone to admire the illuminations.
The day can end with a dinner at the Orangerie restaurant, exceptionally open.
And, why not, for a night in one of the suites fitted out in former outbuildings.
Cherverny Castle.

Royal Castle of Blois
The Anooki invite themselves to the facade of the Château de Blois.

all the rooms of the Château de Blois have been redecorated with the red thread of the sacrosanct fir tree.
Several workshops invite you to design a ruff and a Renaissance dress or to compose your own cabinet of curiosities in a more than evocative setting: the Studiolo, François 1er's "cabinet of wonders".
Finally, every evening from December 16, between 6 and 8 p.m., the Anooki, two adorable Inuits, invite themselves to the facade for a playful sound and light show.

The program
: once again this year, seven châteaux in Touraine (Chenonceau, Amboise, Azay-le-Rideau, Villandry, Langeais, Chinon and Loches) are joining forces to offer visitors a signposted route on the Christmas theme.
Ideal for who would like to treat themselves to a few days in the region.
Our favorite themes?
Gluttony (always!) at Azay-le-Rideau, which exhibits its collections of old crockery and Corinne Bernizet's gastronomic works of art: silk cakes, paper shell eggs and cloth nuns.
Les fleurs à Chenonceau, which invited the Atelier floral de Chenonceau to compose “Dream tables, party tables”.
Even more magical in its nocturnal version, on December 21, with live flower arrangement demonstrations between 6 and 8 p.m.
For adults: masterclass of
Meilleur Ouvrier de France and extraordinary florist who creates and directs the floral compositions of the castle, Ed
) on the 23rd and 30th and course on the art of receiving in the Renaissance between the 21st and the 30th.
The unmissable:
at the Royal City of Loches, a visit around the character of the Grinch, as grumpy as he is endearing.
A tale reading will be organized in his lair, on Sundays and during the holidays.
