The "Last Generation" has taken a break from their actions.
But the next one is already being planned: on Monday morning at the Stachus.
Munich – There was silence in Munich for a week, now the climate activists of the “last generation” are announcing the next row.
They are planning a big action at the Stachus for Monday morning.
It's supposed to start there at 8 a.m.
"We will prepare for it," says police spokesman Andreas Franken about the public announcement, which is new in this form.
That means: After heated weeks in which climate stickers have repeatedly ended up behind bars, there is a showdown between activists and the Munich police right at the start of the week.
Demo training with the motto: "Learn Nonviolence"
What exactly will happen at the Stachus and, above all, how many activists will be there, was left open by the "Last Generation" at their press conference on Friday.
From Monday, the aim will continue to be the "arteries of society", such as transport connections - and "there will continue to be interruptions everywhere," said Henning Jeschke, one of the group's co-founders.
This wants to disrupt people's everyday lives, and there will also be actions again to enforce more climate protection.
"The resistance will become stronger," emphasized Carla Hinrichs from the "Last Generation".
"And he doesn't stop at Christmas either, and not in the new year either." The activists had recently emphasized to
tz
that their group had grown from 30 people to 500 members.
Just in time for the announced disruptive action, there will be demo training for the newcomers to the squad on Sunday.
Motto: "Learn non-violence." In Munich, training takes place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Where, that was only revealed to those in the know.
One thing is clear: there is a tight organization behind the climate stickers - this was also emphasized by the interior ministers, who dealt with the activists at their conference.
The police are relaxed in the run-up to the showdown.
According to Franken, the situation had to be assessed on site on Monday.
One thing is clear: disruptive actions should be prevented.
