Participants in the meeting of the Central Council of the Construction Contractors Syndicate called for securing fuel for contractors committed to project contracts, securing work fronts in some governorates in parallel with the public sector, and finding a solution to the issue of the classification engineer and the resident with the Engineers Syndicate.

The participants in the meeting, which was held today at the Cham Hotel in Damascus, also called for the follow-up of the book related to obliging municipalities to give licenses to the classified contractor directed to the Ministry of Local Administration and Environment, in addition to the book directed to taxes and fees for not being collected by those who have a commercial record, and to activate the branch of the Industrial Bank in Quneitra.

In a speech during the meeting, the Minister of Public Works and Housing, Engineer Suhail Abdel Latif, stressed the importance of submitting proposals aimed at developing the contracting profession, to be the strong arm in all aspects scientifically, professionally and technically, as the joint that is being worked on by the government alongside the public sector, to be able To compete in the stage of recovery, reconstruction and reconstruction, pointing to the keenness to follow up on what the contractors put forward and to overcome the obstacles and difficulties that arise in their work.

The head of the Construction Contractors Syndicate, Engineer Abdel Rahman Suleiman, indicated that the proposals and recommendations that are put forward serve the contracting profession and contribute to its development, especially in light of cooperation and coordination with the Ministry.

In his response to the claims, Minister Abdel Latif called for the need to take into account the difficult economic situation in this period, due to the unfair economic sanctions imposed on the country, which are no less fierce than the military war and led to a shortage of fuel, stressing the need to take all occupational safety measures to protect workers in projects. and its neighborhood, and in the event of default, the defaulters will be severely held accountable.
