The generation change continues: The FDP district association elects Tim Sachs (32) as a candidate for the state parliament.

Patrick Eiselt (22) is applying for the district council.

Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen – In a small, cozy group, they made it short and sweet: the Liberals unanimously voted Tim Sachs as the direct candidate for the state elections next year at their meeting in the Reindlschmiede country inn on Wednesday evening.

While the 32-year-old Bichler Sachs by choice can already look back on 14 years of membership in the FDP, a newcomer will be standing in the 2023 district election in the person of 22-year-old Patrick Eiselt from Saulgrub in the Garmisch-Partenkirchen district.

The Free Democrats in the Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen district association are thus continuing their generation change, which they initiated in 2020 with the election of Simon Roloff as district chairman.

At that time, 20-year-old Bichler Roloff succeeded Fritz Haugg (53), who had resigned for health reasons.

Now Tim Sachs Haug, who was born in Hesse, is also following as a direct candidate.

The business administration graduate and self-employed management consultant came to Bavaria six years ago and has been living in Bichl for two years.

The 32-year-old made it clear right from the start that his young age is usually the first question his customers ask, even in professional life.

However, this circumstance does not deter him: "Then you have to score points with professional competence, sobriety and specialist knowledge," explained Sachs. And he had acquired these at the political level in 14 years with the FDP.

He joined the party "because liberalism has always been a matter close to my heart".

He also wholeheartedly represents his three priority areas: education, health care and the economy.

"It's a nice and big constituency, you'll have a lot of fun with it,"

Patrick Eiselt wants to “advance his topics further at district level” “with a lot of enthusiasm”

Patrick Eiselt, who had applied for a direct candidacy for the district election, also received ten votes.

Born in Berlin, the 22-year-old has been living in Saulgrub for 13 years, where he is active with the Red Cross and on the board of the water rescue service.

The industrial clerk only joined the FDP last year.

"With a lot of energy" he wants to "promote his topics further at the district level", promised the bold newcomer.

The cozy evening between the individual elections was rounded off by prominent guest speakers such as the FDP member of parliament Julika Sandt, the district chairwoman Barbara Countess Baudissin-Schmidt, district council member Daniel Reuter and Susanne Seehofer, daughter of the former CSU leader and Bavarian Prime Minister Horst Seehofer.

As reported, she wants to be a FDP direct candidate for the Munich-Mitte constituency next fall in the state parliament.
