Finishing the rehabilitation of health facilities for a number of schools in Daraa

The branch of the Syrian Arab Red Crescent in Daraa, in cooperation with the Department of School Buildings in the Directorate of Education, completed the rehabilitation work of 43 health facilities within the governorate’s schools.

The head of the Red Crescent branch, Dr. Ahmed Al-Masalmeh, stated in a statement to SANA reporter today that the rehabilitation contributes to making school environments safer and healthier, and thus protecting pupils and students from infectious diseases, especially Corona and cholera, indicating that the work continued for about two months continuously, with the support of the Norwegian Red Cross.

In turn, the head of the School Buildings Department in the Directorate of Education, Eng. Radhi Al-Wani, indicated in a similar statement that the health facilities that entered service immediately are distributed in the schools of the cities, towns, and villages of “Sahem Al-Golan, Al-Shajara, Koya, Ma’raba, Beit Arh, Daraa, Tafas, Jalin, Al-Muzayrib, Al-Yadoudeh, Nawa, Tasil, Qarfa, Khirbet Ghazaleh, Alma, Al-Hirak, and Al-Malihah Al-Sharqiya, Ghasm and Bosra Al-Sham.

He added, "The works include maintenance of windows and doors, painting works, water connections with their supplies, and everything related to repairing damages."
