According to the police, the resident of the city kept the two 14-year-olds from the territories for 3 days while they were locked in the shelter. They managed to call the police and after locating the place of confinement, the forces came to rescue them

The police arrested a 50-year-old resident of Lod who is suspected of kidnapping two Palestinian boys, imprisoning them and abusing them - this was allowed to be published today (Saturday).



According to the police, the man is suspected of having kidnapped two 14-year-olds, illegal residents, and locked them in a shelter in the city without food or drink for three days.

Today, the boys managed to contact the police and call for help using the cell phone of the kidnapping suspect, when he came to check on their condition.



The police started investigating the incident while activating intelligence systems and managed to reveal the location of the abduction and imprisonment of the abductees.

The forces arrived at the scene and with the help of the fire and rescue service, the shelter where the boys were imprisoned was broken into and they were rescued.

The suspect was later arrested.



"At the end of searches in the building where the shelter is located, the police were able to locate and arrest the suspect - a 50-year-old resident of the city, and at this time he was being interrogated at the Lod station to examine the background and circumstances, including an investigation of suspicion of their employment in violation of the law," the police statement said.



The police intend to request that his detention be extended in accordance with the needs of the investigation.
