The Tuscan council of the ANM requests that the cognitive assessment by the General Inspectorate ordered by the Minister of Justice Carlo Nordio on the magistrates of Florence regarding some aspects of the Open investigation "must not have any intimidating capacity towards the magistrates, investigators and judges who, in respectful silence, deal with the aforementioned procedure in the exclusive fulfillment of their official duties".

This was written by the president of the Tuscan council, judge Alessandro Ghelardini.

The checks concern the transmission to Copasir of documents seized from Marco Carrai.

"In the light of the announced inspection initiatives by the Minister of Justice at the Florentine judicial offices on the events inherent in the criminal trial on the Open Foundation", reads a note, the council of Anm Toscana "takes note of the request for dismissal which appears to have been presented by the prosecutor of Genoa, competent for the territory, with respect to the complaint presented by Senator Matteo Renzi against the magistrates in charge of the Florentine investigation".

In this regard, the Tuscan council itself points out that: "this request for filing will be subjected to judicial review by the competent judicial authority" and that "the inspection initiative, without prejudice to the constitutional prerogatives of the Minister of Justice, cannot and must not have any ability to intimidate the magistrates, investigators and judges who, in respectful silence, deal with the aforementioned procedure in the exclusive fulfillment of their official duties".

"In the hope - he concludes - that the affair can find a solution exclusively in the procedural sphere and in absolute respect for the prerogatives and rights of the parties, the Ges (executive council, ed) Toscana expresses its clearest opposition to which, as repeatedly occurred in the past, events under investigation in the competent offices are the subject of public statements against individual magistrates, clearly aimed at also undermining the prestige of the judiciary as a whole, thus contravening the basic principles of democratic civilization".
