Son finds mother badly injured at home – there is no trace of her carer

An 89-year-old was seriously injured in an attack in Lower Bavaria.

A seriously injured elderly woman was found at her home in Eching, Lower Bavaria, on Friday.

The police suspect an act of violence.

Eching – On Friday afternoon, December 2nd, the police were called to a residential building in Eching, Lower Bavaria (Landshut district).

An 89-year-old woman was seriously injured.

There was initially no trace of her caregiver.

The police have now launched a search for him.

Elderly woman was attacked at home and seriously injured

At around 5 p.m., the son wanted to visit his 89-year-old mother at home.

When he arrived at her family home in Eching, he discovered her seriously injured in a room, writes the Lower Bavaria police in a press release.

He immediately informed law enforcement and the emergency services.

He arrived a short time later and found the senior had serious head injuries.

She was treated at the scene and then taken to a nearby hospital.

The Landshut criminal police then took over the investigation.

She is supported by the public prosecutor's office in Landshut.

In the room is the suspicion of an alleged attempted homicide of the pensioner.

Investigations focus on the carer of the pensioner

The investigation is currently focused on the 33-year-old caregiver of the elderly woman.

The man moved to the victim's property in August 2022 as part of his job.

However, there was no trace of him at first.

He is considered an urgent suspect.

"The 33-year-old Pole is currently on the run," the statement continues.

The background to the crime and the motive are still completely unclear.

The police are now hoping for information from the public.
