But with the recent warning from the IMF, worried about seeing the French debt increase dangerously, the tone has changed a little at the Elysée, Matignon and Bercy.

"savings plans (...) essential"
at the risk of seeing slings, revolts or even revolutions break out.
Since Turgot, heads of state have paid no heed, and have erupted revolutions (in the worst case) and changes of majority.
However, like Nicolas Sarkozy, who nevertheless seemed to have understood the need for it, Emmanuel Macron does not show more concern than that.
The proof: he has not, as promised, eliminated the 120,000 civil servant posts.
