"The days of the Iranian regime are numbered, there is an opportunity for change": Netanyahu's close friend in a surprising statement Israel today

An associate of Netanyahu believes that the protest in the Islamic Republic created a dynamic that leads to the fall of tyrannical regimes • "The minds do not seek to change this or that policy but to bring about the end of the regime" • He emphasized that it is of great importance that the West gives public support to the protests • "In Europe they are beginning to understand the The danger, even in Washington, the direction is changing"

"The West can bring about the overthrow of the Iranian regime soon - Netanyahu will strive for this":

this is what Ron Dermer, the prime minister's number one close associate, said today (Sunday) in the 'non-diplomatic' category.

Dermer, who as part of his duties served as Israel's ambassador in Washington for seven years, analyzes issues of national security and politics.

"The days of the Iranian regime are numbered in any case, but a speech by the US president, who addresses the Iranian people, will shorten them even more," he estimates.

In a conversation with the interviewer, the president of the Jinsa Institute, Michael Makovsky, he presents a series of changes regarding the steps that must be taken to bring about the overthrow of the regime.

"There is an opportunity for change here," he believes.

"When the protest has been going on for three months, and the protesters are happy about their team's loss in the World Cup, it changes the dynamic. In Europe, they understand that Iran is not just a theoretical threat, but is in their backyard. In Washington, the direction is also changing."

After many years of monitoring the situation in Iran, Dermer believes that the protesters in Iran have crossed the threshold of fear.

"The Iranian people are held by a regime of fear, yet they take to the streets impressively, day after day, night after night, for the third month in a row.

This thing rolls.

The protestors do not seek to change one policy or another, but to bring about the end of the regime of the Islamic Republic."

He noted that such dynamics eventually lead to the fall of tyrannical regimes.

"You have to understand how companies are afraid of actions. At a certain point the fear of the government disappears. In one moment they go out in tens of thousands or millions, because they are no longer afraid of the regime. And we are very close to that moment."

Dermer even foresees the possibility that the regime's forces will join the protesters themselves, as happened in various revolutions around the world in the past.

"The leader cannot kill the demonstrators himself. The army - in the case of the Iranian Basij - is the one who is supposed to do it. (But) at some point they may not agree to do it. This is what happened in Russia, when the USSR and other countries that were behind the Iron Curtain collapsed.

There is a good chance that this will happen in Iran," he explained.

The Israeli official, who may play a significant role in the new government, emphasized that it is extremely important that the US president, and the West in general, give public support to the protesters. "One of the most important things is expressing solidarity with the Iranian people.

Like President Reagan's 'Evil Empire' speech (which in the 1980s contributed to the fall of the Soviet Union).

There is nothing that will inspire the Iranian people more than a great speech by the American president directly addressing them.

The stick and the carrot

"You have to use a stick and a carrot," he said.

"To put all the pressure on Iran, but also to show what Iran will gain if the regime changes. When the military forces of Iran, as well as the protestors, will look like a wall... it will show them that they are losing and will make them consider switching sides."

Dermer rejected the claims that Western or Israeli mobilization to promote abortion would aid the propaganda of the Aylott regime.

"These are nonsense. They are blaming Israel and the USA anyway." According to him, those elements in the West who call for reconciliation with the Ayatollah regime, "are financed by Iran and the things have already been exposed."

He estimated that Netanyahu would act in this direction.

"One of the main challenges of the new government in Israel and of Netanyahu is leading this determined policy, together with the US president, the forces in Europe and the Arab countries.

And he has a chance to succeed in this thanks to the Iranian people who woke up the world."
