Artist Iyad Abu Zeidan...a rich artistic career between the homeland and the expatriate

Between the homeland and the expatriate, plastic artist Iyad Abu Zaidan from the As-Suwayda governorate made an artistic experience that exceeded its 25-year-old age, embodying through it his love for art and its internal components, and collecting, among them, multiple works that delve into the details of sculpture and oil painting.

The plastic artist Abu Zaidan, 48, started with his experience, as he mentioned to the SANA reporter, by implementing sculptural and oil mural paintings within the interior designs, and the decoration of homes in many Arab countries, and he completed more than 150 projects in this context, as each project was like an exhibition for him.

And the completion of works was not limited to house designs only for Abu Zaidan, but he participated in many group and individual exhibitions in many countries, such as Libya, Egypt, Morocco, Tunisia and Lebanon, as well as in Syria after his return from the expatriate at the end of 2002, and he had a solo exhibition in the Cultural Center in Suwayda In 2003, in addition to the annual fall exhibition, as well as his participation with the Golan Sons Association in its festivals for several years.

In 2015, Abu Zaidan presented to the Cultural Center in the town of Al-Mushaf in the countryside of As-Suwayda a sculptural mural that talks about peace, about three and a quarter meters long and 160 centimeters high, as part of a solo exhibition for him, and he was honored by the Ministry of Culture, which also honored him for a sculptural work for an hour that he presented to the center. The Ministry of Culture acquired some of Abu Zaidan's works, including a sculptural work in 2015 made of basalt called Fertile and Tender, with a width of 45 centimeters and a height of 65 to 70 centimeters.

Abu Zaidan works according to multiple artistic schools in which he combines realism, expressionism and impressionism with his drift in the field of brutal school colors and the beauty, intersection and anatomy of the surreal school, with a perspective he has in which he simulates the dream in building and interior and exterior designs of the art of decoration, in addition to the presence of his own technique and style.

And Abu Zaidan indicated that his studio in Syria cultivates many talents of all ages, some of whom have reached the age of 65.

It is noteworthy that the artist Iyad Abu Zeidan has been a member of the Syrian Plastic Artists Union since 2002, in addition to a number of Arab plastic unions and forums.
