Court endorses the presence of the Armed Forces in the streets of Mexico 3:16

At least 8 people died and 12 more were injured this Saturday after an armed confrontation between criminal groups that took place in the Mexican state of Sonora, the state Public Security Secretariat reported in Twitter messages.
According to the entity, the confrontation began in a community in the state of Baja California and then moved to the Sonoran municipality of San Luis Río Coronado.
"In the place, the state forces and members of the security table secured a significant number of vehicles, weapons, tactical equipment, ammunition and 3 people," who were made available to the Prosecutor's Office, the Secretariat indicated.
At that point three people died and 4 more were injured.
The Secretariat said in another message - without giving further details - that "in later events, but apparently related to the first, 5 people died and 8 were injured."

The Security Secretariat also said that elements of the state and federal Security Forces were deployed in the area to "increase the presence in the municipality and safeguard the security of the population."
