They were lined up facing the criminal court in Meaux (Seine-et-Marne), hands crossed in front of them, heads bowed, visibly not proud of themselves.
Two women and two men were tried, this Friday evening, for trafficking in cannabis and mobile phones, committed in the prison of Meaux-Chauconin.
Among them, a 50-year-old mother, who was responsible for the laundry room of the penitentiary center.
A fifth defendant appeared in the box: Kader B., 46, who is currently serving a prison sentence for attempted murder.
It was information given to the prison administration by an inmate who remained anonymous that sparked the affair.
