The three old linden trees in front of the Dietramszell monastery have been replaced by three new small-leaved linden trees.
The trees are already between 20 and 30 years old.
Dietramszell - With a heavy heart, the three old linden trees had to be felled as part of the redesign of the monastery forecourt in Dietramszell.
In the words of Mayor Josef Hauser, they were "quite old and no longer handsome".
Now, with the help of donations, three small-leaved lime trees have been planted as replacements – around 6.5 meters high and between 20 and 30 years old.

The small-leaved lime trees were planted by employees of the Holzer company, who will also take care of the trees in the first year.
Donors include Dr.
Claudia Norzel, the Montessori school Dietramszell, Uschi Disl senior, Florian Kainzmaier, Rita and Paul Lechner and Stephan Speth.
These names can also be found on a beautifully designed plaque by the painter Elisabeth Gschwendtner, which is to be installed nearby to protect it from the wind and weather.
