The Swabian grammar school has once again won the title of environmental school.

Markt Schwaben – The Franz-Marc-Gymnasium (FMG) in Markt Schwaben had already earned the honorary title of Environmental School in Europe.

Now you could defend the title, so to speak.

With the second application in the 2021/2022 school year, the FMG was able to convince the jury and - as in the previous year - was awarded two out of three possible stars as an environmental school.

This time, the successful participation of the entire school community in the Ebersberger Klimathon as well as the construction of nesting aids for the P-seminar “FMG Humming” by Julia Weiß secured the repeated award for the school.

For example, Richard Hörl from Forstinning helped them with the bee project with advice and action.

Bee project appeals to the jury

Principal Peter Popp expressed that he and his colleagues were very proud of this award.

Further campaigns were already running in the house, which were good enough to become the basis for a new application in the coming year.

He referred, for example, to the idea of a P seminar to take care of sustainable nutrition in everyday school life.

The upcoming clothing bazaar, which will take place together with the Christmas bazaar on December 16 (from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.), is also an issue for the environmental group.

She is currently dependent on appropriate clothing donations.

They say second-hand is in.

And take care, among other things, of reducing greenhouse gas emissions, conserving resources and reducing energy consumption.

Second-hand clothing can be handed in at school from Tuesday to Thursday of this week in room 5.0.01 during the first break.
