Prince William and Kate Middleton travel to Boston for an awards ceremony.
A few days later, Harry and Meghan should arrive on the east coast.
But the four never meet – because of Kate.
Boston – A proud eight years have passed since Prince William (40) and Kate Middleton (40) last traveled to the United States on a royal mission.
Eight years in which a lot has changed for the British royal family – from multiple family members, devastating news of death and the departure of Prince Harry (38) and Meghan Markle (41).
Now living in the state of California with his loved ones, Harry is looking to swim his way out of the crown with his autobiography and a Netflix documentary, while William continues to fulfill his royal duties with plenty of extras.

Since Harry and Meghan forged their own path, a distinct geographic and personal distance has opened up between the "Fab Four" — a pet name for the once-familiar foursome.
After the death of Queen Elizabeth II († 96), William and Kate are at the top of the line of succession and are as sovereign as ever in the United Kingdom – just as you would expect a future royal couple to be.
Harry and Meghan, on the other hand, rely on commercial projects and seem to want to approach the younger generation in particular with an emotional Netflix documentary and Meghan's "Archetypes" podcast.
William, Harry, Kate and Meghan once made a strong team.
But between the "Fab Four" there is no longer such a harmonious atmosphere.

Now, however, the Fantastic Four's schedules are overlapping, with both couples traveling to the east coast of the United States for award ceremonies: William and Kate to present the prestigious Earthshot Prize in Boston and Harry and Meghan to present the Robert F. Kennedy Ripple of Hope Award.
It often does not happen that all four stay on the same continent, the long-awaited rendezvous of the sons of King Charles III.

Prince Harry's memoir "Spare" controversial even before it went on sale
On January 10, 2023, Prince Harry's memoir "Spare" will be published by Random House - but it will prove controversial even before publication.
Although the work is described as an honest look back at Harry's life and experiences, many royals pundits believe it could also be a harsh critique of British royalty.
Following the death of Queen Elizabeth II on September 8th, 2022 and a resulting wave of public skepticism towards the British monarchy, this could have devastating consequences.
"The British Royal Family (...) must earn and keep the respect of the public," explains Royals author Valentine Low, "If this is ever damaged in any fundamental or permanent way, it could be very serious."

William, Kate, Harry and Meghan in the USA almost at the same time: there is no meeting – because of Kate
It is understandable that Kate does not like to be thousands of kilometers away from Prince George (9), Princess Charlotte (7) and Prince Louis (4) and therefore wants to keep her stay in the United States as short as possible.
The Duchess of Cambridge apparently does not consider a reunion with Harry and Meghan to be urgent enough – even if the four were only around 350 kilometers apart.

It is sad that William thinks so of his brother and starts the journey home with Kate without even meeting Harry and Meghan for a short chat.
Few should be surprised, after all, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have been criticizing the British royal family for years.
Above all, Harry's biography "Spare" could further disrupt the already damaged relationship between the prince brothers.
A few weeks before the book was published, a US reality star opened up about her supposed romance with Prince Harry.
