Veronica, a charitable association for the protection of animals, said that before the immigration wave in Hong Kong, about 1 to 2 cases of abandoned pets were received per month two years ago, but now an average of 3 to 5 cases of abandoned pets are received per month. But she believes that the real reason for abandoning pets is that the owner "doesn't want to be a part of the family."

A family of three plans to adopt pets before or after immigration

Ivor came to the dog adoption carnival with his wife and daughter. He said that the family of three loves dogs.

She also has cat-owning friends who have immigrated to Taiwan, and the cats will be transported there later.
