A huge mural called "If you want, it's not a fairy tale", will now decorate a building in Vilnius, the capital of Lithuania, after it was inaugurated at the initiative of the Israeli Embassy in the country.

The painting, by the artist Zoe Saber, shows a colorful mosaic of Israeli landscapes, and it was given to the city as a gift to mark the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Israel and Lithuania, and in honor of the upcoming 700th anniversary celebrations of the founding of Vilnius.

"The painting reflects the face of Israeli society and instills in its viewers a sense of optimism in the spirit of the vision of Herzl, the father of the nation whose portrait appears in the work," Israel's ambassador to Lithuania, Hadas Wittenberg-Zilberstein, said at the Hanukkah ceremony.

The ambassador thanked the previous embassy team that initiated the project and added: "I have every hope for continued cooperation and the expansion of the good ties between Israel and Lithuania in such an artistic manner and on many other levels."
