Fürstenfeldbruck – Bavaria's digital minister and supervisory board chairwoman of the FilmFernsehFonds Bayern, Judith Gerlach, has awarded 91 Bavarian cinemas in Würzburg for their outstanding programming.
The Lichtspielhaus Fürstenfeldbruck is also among the winners.
Gerlach explained: "Especially in times of crisis - and unfortunately now also in times of war - it becomes clear how important culture and film art in particular is.
Films transport current experiences, thoughts and emotions through strong and impressive images in a way that is not possible in any other medium.
This year's award-winning cinemas have impressively demonstrated this with their programs.

The Arena Filmtheater and the Monopol Kino in Munich also received awards for their outstanding programmes.
The houses are partner cinemas of Arena Filmbetriebs GmbH, which operates the Rio Filmpalast in Munich in addition to the Lichtspielhaus Fürstenfeldbruck.
