In the summer, Jens Lehmann (53) rioted with a chainsaw, in October he was convicted of parking wrongly – now he is accused of frenzy.

Munich – Ex-national goalkeeper Jens Lehmann (53) was recently seen as a grandstand guest at the World Cup in Qatar.

Like other former top kickers, he works there as an expert.

But tomorrow Lehmann is threatened with an unpleasant appointment in Munich: the district court is hearing a process in which Lehmann is not in the goal, but is at the center of it: Because he is said to have committed an administrative offence.

Specifically: the judiciary wants Lehmann convicted as a speeder.

Lehmann: Several times in court - now as an accused speeder

Most recently on October 19, the former world-class goalkeeper and 61-time national player was sentenced at the district court.

In the fall, it was still about illegal parking in downtown Munich - but Lehmann did not appear at the trial, although he himself had lodged an objection to a penalty order of 40 euros.

At the trial on Tuesday, Lehmann now has to answer as a speeder.

He's even threatened with having his driver's license revoked.

The judiciary imposed it after the speeding incident, but Lehmann defended himself before the district court.

And this time it should probably appear in person - despite the World Cup.

Munich: Ex-national goalkeeper Jens Lehmann is said to have raced through the city center

Because: According to information from our editorial team, he should have been traveling much too fast in town.

German traffic law is clearly regulated: A three-month driving ban is imposed, for example, if a driver exceeds the maximum speed by 61 km/h in a built-up area.

That could now threaten the former world-class keeper if he is transferred.

But typical Lehmann: He doesn't want to accept this without a fight - and defends himself in court.

The public prosecutor's office is currently investigating the case of his chainsaw attack on a neighboring property in August in Starnberg.

Lehmann is said to have sawed through a beam at a neighbor's garage construction site.

According to the first rumours, because the view of the lake was blocked.

The prosecution then initiated an investigation in the summer after initial police investigations.

The incident was recorded on video.

Curious: Although the camera cable was severed, the device continued to run on battery power.
