Like an air of deja vu.
This Sunday, at the Palais des Sports in Paris, Reconquête!, Eric Zemmour's party blew out its first candle, at the very place where the ousted presidential candidate held his end-of-campaign meeting.
A year after the first meeting in Villepinte, which brought together some 12,000 people, the militant ranks have closed, but the room is almost full: 4,000 registered people have made the trip.

A few elders, who have since taken their distance from the party, are discreetly present in the ranks.
No trace, however, of Philippe de Villiers, Gilbert Collard or Jean Frédérique Poisson, who could not free themselves.
“We have to show that we do things”
For this first anniversary, the party's challenge can be summed up in one word: re-membership.
The 130,000 claimed members form the base on which Reconquête intends to rely to wage its political battle.
The leaders hope, for the time being, to save half of it.
An intensive campaign was therefore launched, with one particularity: the possibility of joining for one, two, three, four or five years, and also to choose the amount of membership.

To convince, the party of Eric Zemmour hopes to prove that it has a militant usefulness on the public scene.
It is therefore a question of repeating, in front of a conquered public, the actions carried out since the return to politics.
The “vigilant parents” network, in particular, which had the effect of canceling the visit of a preparatory class in Calais last week.

The ethnic argument
And for the last part of his speech, Eric Zemmour passes a semantic course, by appealing to the ethnic argument.
To explain the rise of violence in society, the former journalist details four "
engines
".
