Hausham – At a casual reception, SG Hausham honored their outstanding yet humble strength athlete, Sabrina Zeug.

The honor that SG Hausham bestowed on its outstanding and yet so modest strength athlete Sabrina Zeug at a relaxed reception at Mary's party service was pleasantly different from many a picturesque appearance at the then ongoing soccer World Cup in the desert.

At the ceremony, the achievements of their congenial trainer Hans Zenzinger, who has been keeping the weight training division in the SG Hausham in the top field in Bavarian comparison for many decades, were also recognized.

3815 points in the throwing pentathlon probably only mean something to insiders.

In fact, there is a new German record behind it, which Sabrina Zeug set this summer at the Bavarian Championships in Bogen.

In the sportingly fair, but quite demanding competition at temperatures over 35 degrees Celsius, Sabrina Zeug convinced in the hammer throw, shot put, discus throw, javelin throw and weight throw, beating the previous German record by a good 80 points.

Uschi Killer, head of the SG division gymnastics, volleyball and athletics, recalled these achievements in her laudatory speech and stated: "Sabrina, we are just incredibly proud of you."

Coach Hans Zenzinger: "We still have plans in terms of sport"

The fact that their long-time trainer Hans Zenzinger played a not inconsiderable part in this was of course not left unmentioned.

Although he was in poor health himself, he said with an appreciative wink: "Because of the temperatures, I had a circulatory collapse during the competition, but Sabrina and the girls managed it without me." Zenzinger's thing is probably not to slow down.

Like a rascal, he said: "We still have sporting plans, but I won't reveal that yet."

In his congratulations, Klaus Stein, Chairman of Sportfreunde Föching, emphasized the recognition of the family cooperation and mutual help at events of the sports clubs in the district: "I hope that we will continue to have this good camaraderie for a long time to come."

Third Mayor Ria Röpfl (FWG) emphasized that the athlete who is probably the most frequently mentioned athlete in the district media also makes the community of Hausham proud: “Your incredible achievements have made us known far beyond the district borders.”

In contrast to professional athletes, however, the 30-year-old has to reconcile work and training as well as her commitment to promoting young talent.

When asked, the much-honored athlete modestly commented that she still achieves top performances: "I can only say, many thanks to all clubs, competition judges, organizers, my family and of course Hans, that I can do my sport like this at all."
