The Mexican plastic artist and muralist Rafael Cauduro died this Sunday, without further details being known about his death, according to a publication on his official social media accounts.

The publication only indicated that he had passed away this Sunday and "the condolences and expressions of affection for his family" were appreciated.

CNN is trying to contact the family for more details about the artist's death and funeral plans.

Cauduro, who has exhibited his works in galleries around the world, will be remembered for several of his works, Mexican officials said on social media, particularly for his mural for the Supreme Court of Justice in Mexico City “A cry for justice.
