The Ministry of the Interior stated that a group of outlaws, some of whom carried individual weapons, proceeded at eleven thirty this morning to block the road with burning tires next to the Al-Mashnaqa roundabout in the As-Suwayda governorate.
The ministry said in a statement: The group later went to the As-Suwayda governorate building, and fired shots indiscriminately, which led to the injury of one member and a number of citizens present in the place, and entered the building by force of arms, and broke the office furniture and stole a large part of the building. including official documents, and set fire to the building and the cars located near it, and tried to storm the police command building, where the command guards confronted them, which led to the martyrdom of the policeman, Mahmoud Al-Salmawi.
At the end of its statement, the ministry affirmed that it will pursue the outlaws, and will take legal measures against anyone who tries to tamper with the security and stability of As-Suwayda governorate and the safety of its citizens.
