A 19-year-old IDF soldier from Yavneh was arrested yesterday (Sunday) on suspicion of having committed sexual offenses via the Internet against a 14-year-old minor. His detention was extended by four days.
As part of the efforts of the Israel Police to protect children from online harm, last month an undercover activity was conducted at Unit 105 (the National Headquarters for the Protection of Children on the Internet) in Lahab 433 following a report received at the 105 center about suspected sexual offenses committed by a minor by a suspect.
According to the suspicion, the suspect contacted the minor at different times through different apps and during the correspondence between them, he asked her to perform sexual acts herself and to send him photos and videos of a sexual nature.
As mentioned, the suspect was brought in for questioning at Unit 105 in Lahav 433 and at the hearing that took place today at the Peace Court in Israel, his detention was extended for 4 more days.
