At least 11 people died this Sunday when a landslide hit a rural highway in the Colombian city of Pueblo Rico, Risaralda, reported the National Unit for Disaster Risk Management (UNGRD) of Colombia on Monday. .
According to the UNGRD, 75 rescuers are still working on the scene.
Risaralda is a mountainous department in central Colombia where road travel is difficult due to dangerous terrain.
At least six people are receiving hospital care after suffering injuries in the collapse, according to the UNGRD.
