The 39 singers of the district music school's children's choir literally brought light into the heart when they moved into the hall of the district music school (KMS) in the dark, all with a candle in their hand, and - dressed in their usual fine dark blue and white - stood up posted the stage.

But that was the culmination of a wonderful Advent concert, which obviously did the visitors good.

After the long Corona break and currently difficult times, the benefit concert for the readers' aid organization Licht in die Herzen offered a peaceful break.

They opened the evening with their "festive call": the wind ensemble of the district music school.

Erding – The festive call of the KMS wind ensemble led the audience straight into the middle of the Advent season.

For the 13th time the Erdinger/Dorfener Anzeiger organized the musical evening in cooperation with the KMS.

Around 18,000 euros have been collected at the concerts over the years, this year the visitors threw 1440 euros into the donation drum.

Peter Hackel, head of the KMS, was responsible for the program, in which regional musicians organized an Advent evening for the benefit of the needy in the district.

Erich Rumel was responsible for the technology and for everything running smoothly, as Hans Moritz, Editor-in-Chief of the Erdinger/Dorfener Anzeiger, emphasized in his welcome address.

Moritz was happy about the "flood of people that poured through the doors".

He gave a brief look back at 16 years of light into hearts and proudly announced that well over one million euros had been collected since 2007.

He thanked editor Gabi Zierz with a bouquet of flowers, who is responsible for the fundraising campaign throughout the year and can thus ensure that every euro goes directly to those in need.

Hackel emphasized the "wonderful cooperation" and was happy about the "community" that evening: "It's just great to do something good and experience something good yourself." He took his word for it and went to the guitar student Katharina Wille took to the stage to take us to southern climes with the piece "Sunrise Marcha del Sul" and to brighten up the dark season, as announced by Vroni Vogel, who again led the evening in a humorous manner.

The message of peace from Christmas has a particularly urgent topicality this year, Vogel reminded and thanked everyone involved on and behind the stage as well as the donors.

"Together we can bring light into hearts today."

And promptly, festive baroque music shone with the string ensemble Jenny and Linda Liu on the violins and Galina Snoeij on the cello under the direction of Maria Roggenhofer.

Stunned the audience with his sovereign playing on the grand piano: Jakob Tongson.

Nine-year-old Jakob Tongson mastered six Ecossaissen, Beethoven's Scottish tangos, with impressive ease on the grand piano.

The Bockhorn flute quartet with Lilly Angermaier, Maria Hörmann, Veronika Huber and Katharina Triller also impressed with a quartet in A major by Friedrich Kuhlau, "the Beethoven of the clarinet", as teacher Rüdiger Herrmann joked.

Vogel knew that the two composers dedicated canons to each other.

Vitus Grötsch and Elisabeth Wagner danced a tango on the accordion on their small accordions, and the audience, visibly touched, danced along in their thoughts.

Teacher Michael Riedmaier had arranged the exhilarating tango especially for the duo,

Getting in the mood for Christmas: Mariana Rademacher-Rodrigues on her heavenly instrument, the harp.

At a Christmas concert, the "truly heavenly instrument with its unearthly splendor ", as Vogel described the harp, should not be missing.

And indeed it became contemplative with Mariana Rademacher Rodrigues baroque piece "Tema con Variazioni" by George Frideric Handel.

Harmonized: Ursula Beibl on the dulcimer and Maria Schirmer on the harp.

On this evening, the audience also experienced the harp (Maria Schirmer) in harmonious harmony with the dulcimer (Ursula Beibl) in the Sonata in G major II. Grazioso by Angelo Conti.

Enthusiastic with his brisk game on the Styrian: Basti Siegmann.

The third piece in the league with the harp "Beautiful Seeress" was a soulful one written by Herbert Pixner, which Basti Siegmann performed skilfully on his Styrian harmonica without any notes.

It told a "magical story about a beautiful seer," revealed the presenter.

Interpreted as a duo with their own style: Katarína Farbová and Quirin Vogel.

Katarína Farbová on the clarinet and Quirin Vogel on the grand piano provided goosebump moments when they interpreted "Blessing Nigun", a language of the soul set to music.

The two former KMS students presented this klezmer melody with their very own character.

At the end - as already mentioned at the beginning - the secret stars of the audience populated the stage: every time the children's choir delights the audience anew with its authentic, blunt and fresh songs.

Singing teacher Ira Maria Scholz let her enchanting soprano voice ring out in the song "Vinterham".

The choir and singers were accompanied by Alexander Scholz on the grand piano and Edi Karbaumer on the percussions.

The two-year break hadn't harmed the choir.

Self-confident and with solo interludes, they offered the audience, which was not stingy with applause, six Christmas carols and not only brought light into the hearts, but also conquered them.
