In Bad Homburg, a man steals Christmas decorations.
When a neighbor asks him about it, he ruefully admits the crime and waits for the police to arrive.
Bad Homburg - It lights up, flashes and in many cases is shrill: Just in time for December, houses all over Germany are decorated with Christmas decorations.
It is the same with the Christmas decorations as with many things in life: either you love them or you can only do relatively little with them.
The police headquarters in West Hesse now reported on an apparently big fan of Christmas decorations.
The man walked past a festively decorated front garden in Bad Homburg (Hochtaunuskreis) on Friday (December 2), packed some decorative items in a plastic bag and took them with him.
Around eight o'clock in the morning, the residents of the house noticed the theft and therefore checked the video surveillance of their front yard, which had recorded the crime, reports fnp.de.

The residents of the house, who were deprived of their Christmas decorations, showed the video recordings to a neighbor.
When the Christmas decoration thief passed the scene of the crime around noon, the neighbor recognized him and spoke to him about the crime.
Apparently plagued by a bad conscience, the man admitted the theft and waited patiently in front of the house for the police to arrive.
The thief finally promised the investigators to bring back the stolen decorative items worth around 100 euros.
