Fürstenfeldbruck – A driver took advantage of the hustle and bustle at the scene of the accident to get out of the dust unnoticed.

Previously, the approximately 50-year-old man with his dark station wagon caused a traffic accident on Friday evening, in which a 70-year-old cyclist was seriously injured.

The person who caused the accident drove around 5:45 p.m. on state road 2054 from Fürstenfeldbruck in the direction of Maisach.

When entering the roundabout near Neulindach, he obviously overlooked the elderly cyclist who was already in the roundabout.

The cyclist fell as a result of the impact and sustained serious back injuries.

He was taken to a hospital.

The driver stopped and got out briefly.

While other road users and passers-by were taking care of the injured cyclist and making the emergency call, initially nobody noticed that the person who caused the accident was driving away in the direction of the Hasenheide industrial park.

The initiated immediate search for the fleeing vehicle with several police patrols was unsuccessful.

The police are looking for witnesses

The police are hoping for clues as to who caused the accident or if other witnesses are reported.

The driver is believed to be a tall, slim man aged between 45 and 50.

He was driving a dark, possibly black Hyundai station wagon with an Aichach license plate (AIC-?).

The car should have accident damage or impact marks on the front left or in the middle.

The police are also appealing to the driver's conscience to volunteer to clarify the facts.
