Frankfurt Airport is the safe haven for the crew.
Frankfurt – A pilot who is no longer able to bring the plane safely to its destination is a nightmare for the crew and passengers.
Such a case led a Boeing 737-800 from Jet2.com to Frankfurt Airport unplanned, as reported by fnp.de.
Although the incident happened on September 22, it only became known after the publication of the monthly report by the Federal Bureau of Aircraft Accident Investigation (BFU) in Langen.
What happened?
Apparently, the co-pilot of the machine felt unwell and "was no longer able to carry out his activities", as stated in the BFU report.
At 1.42 a.m. the pilot then declared an air emergency.

The BFU is investigating the case due to a serious incident without injuries.
This is based on the definition: "An event during the operation of an aircraft, the circumstances of which indicate that an accident almost occurred."
Another incident at Frankfurt Airport became public in the BFU report.
A woman was caught in the jet of an engine on the apron and was injured when she was thrown to the ground.
