Meanwhile, 20 more patients died today, bringing the cumulative death toll to 10,826.
A total of 2,993 confirmed patients are currently hospitalized in public hospitals, of which 411 are new patients.
13 critical patients and 22 serious patients were newly reported, and another 21 critical patients were receiving intensive care.
Regardless of the total number of hospital stays, new patients in hospital, new critically ill patients and patients in intensive care all hit new highs since 0+3.

The number of people arriving at the airport reached 19,542 yesterday, the day with the largest number of people entering the country since 0+3, and the rate of confirmed cases was 3.40%.
The seven-day average number of confirmed cases was 665, and the seven-day average diagnosis rate was 3.97%.
Among the samples received by the Public Health Laboratory Service of the Department of Health from November 26 to December 2 for verification tests of local cases, the Omicron variant virus strain BA.2.12.1 and BA.4/BA.5 substrains (including Suspected cases) accounted for 0% and about 70.16% respectively.

As of 00:00 on December 5, the Public Health Laboratory Service Office of the Department of Health has found a total of 225 cases of XBB, 6 cases of XBD, 8 cases of BA.2.75.2, 7 cases of BA.4.6, and 13 cases of BF among the imported cases in Hong Kong .7 and 36 cases of BQ.1.1 subseries, and a total of 104 cases of XBB, 18 cases of XBD, 1 case of BA.2.75.2, 4 cases of BF.7 and 121 cases of BQ.1.1 subseries were found in local cases. The number of new variant virus cases remained unchanged.
In terms of schools, 1,000 schools reported 3,036 new cases today, and 23 classes in 22 schools need to suspend classes for 7 days.
In terms of nursing homes, 27 residential homes reported 45 elderly people and 10 staff members who were diagnosed, and 82 residents were listed as close contacts and needed to be quarantined.
As of 0:00 am today, a total of 2,993 confirmed patients had been hospitalized, of which 411 were newly admitted patients. The total number of hospitalized patients and new patients reached a new high since 0+3.
318 patients are receiving oxygen therapy, while 17 others require ventilator-assisted breathing.
The ratio of new hospitalized patients to the total number of hospitalized patients was 13.7%.
13 critical patients and 22 severe patients were newly reported, and the total number of new critical patients in a single day also hit a new high since 0+3.
The total number of new critical illnesses in a single day compared with the total number of new hospitalized patients was 8.5%.
At present, there are 70 critical and 82 severe patients, and the total number of critical patients is 152.
