A truck driver took a family with an 11-month-old baby in the back of the truck for days.

Then, in the middle of the night, he suddenly dumped her in Bavaria.

Kiefersfelden – A family with a baby was abandoned at the Autobahn rest area near Kiefersfelden (Rosenheim district) on Saturday night.

The federal police reported this in a press release on December 5th.

Family with eleven-month-old child for days on the loading area - abandoned at a rest stop in Bavaria

According to the press release, a truck driver is said to have carried the family with an eleven-month-old baby in the back of his trailer for days.

In the night from Friday to Saturday (December 3rd) he apparently abandoned them at the rest area.

The migrants stood around there for a long time and made a disoriented impression, which is why witnesses called the federal police for help.

The officers took the two adults and the child into custody.

"In the meantime, the investigations are directed against the unknown smuggler, who is responsible for the extremely dangerous transport and the dropping off at night," the press release continues.

According to their own statements, they come from Turkey.

Her escape took her via Serbia to Bosnia.

In Zagreb, they confided in the smuggler, who took them on the back of the truck for four days.

They had to hand over their papers to him.
