: these are the kinds of anti-Semitic inscriptions that were discovered on Saturday December 3 on road signs and storefronts in Old Nice and rue Maccarini.
Several symbols were also found, a swastika in particular, as well as a shortened Celtic cross, a symbol of white supremacy.
All these inscriptions were cleaned in the afternoon and an investigation was opened to try to find the authors.
On Twitter, the mayor of Nice, Christian Estrosi, condemned
"despicable messages"

"Anti-Semitism is a scourge against which we must fight at all times
," he wrote.
“The antisemitic tags inscribed in the heart of

are an absolute disgrace.
The perpetrators should be heavily condemned.
Anti-Semitism must be fought relentlessly!”
, for his part commented the deputy (LR) of the Alpes-Maritimes, Éric Ciotti.
