Occupied Jerusalem - SANA
The Palestinian Prisoners Club confirmed that the Israeli occupation authorities are carrying out a crime against the cancer-stricken prisoner, Asif Al-Rifai, and are refusing to transfer him to the hospital and provide him with the necessary treatment, amid a noticeable decline in his health condition.
The club stated in a statement today, reported by Wafa Agency, that the occupation forces arrested Al-Rifai, 20, last September, despite his suffering from colon and gland cancer, and the medical reports confirmed before his arrest that his health condition was serious and in need of close health follow-up.
The club pointed out that Al-Rifai is a former prisoner who has been arrested since he was a child, and this is the fourth arrest against him.
It is noteworthy that the occupation authorities are holding about 600 sick prisoners, 200 of whom suffer from chronic diseases, including 24 prisoners who suffer from cancer and tumors of varying degrees.
