Passer-by finds a dead baby on a hiking trail: the police are investigating a homicide and are looking for witnesses

A dead newborn was discovered in the area of the Seekopf hiking car park near Ruhpolding on Sunday afternoon.
The police are looking for witnesses.
Ruhpolding – Around 12 p.m. on Sunday, a passer-by discovered a dead baby behind a wall on the hiking trail in the direction of Förchensee (Traunstein district).
He immediately informed the police, the emergency services found only the dead of the newborn at the Seeberg hiking car park.
As reported by the Oberbayern Süd police, the investigators assume that the baby was placed there shortly after it was found.

While still on site, officers from the permanent criminal service, the responsible department 1 and the specialist department for securing evidence of the criminal police inspectorate Traunstein and the responsible public prosecutor of the public prosecutor's office in Traunstein took up the investigation.
The autopsy of the corpse took place in the institute on Sunday evening.
This revealed "evidence of a violent death, which is why the responsible public prosecutor's office in Traunstein initiated investigations into a homicide."

The police are hoping for information from the public.
