According to police spokeswoman Ulrike Schaake, the police and emergency services were called to Kölnische Strasse - near Spohrstrasse - at around 3:55 a.m. after a red Audi A3 drove into a bouncer in front of the recently opened club and injured the man's leg, reports hna. en.

When the patrol arrived, the perpetrator at the wheel of the red car had already fled in the direction of Mauerstraße.

An ambulance took the injured 33-year-old bouncer to a hospital as a precaution, but he was able to leave again on Sunday morning.

According to the current status of the investigation, the perpetrator wanted to enter the club, but was turned away by the bouncers.

After a short verbal argument, the man initially walked away before he is said to have later driven the red Audi A3 towards the bouncer.

The 33-year-old, who was standing on the sidewalk next to the club, was able to avoid being hit head-on by the car by jumping to the side.

The car hit the bouncer in the leg and then crashed into the fence of a construction site.

The immediately initiated search for the escaped perpetrator and the red Audi A3, which is likely to be significantly damaged in the front area, has so far been unsuccessful.

The officials of Kommissariat 11 of the Kassel Kripo, which is responsible for capital crimes, have taken over the investigation and are asking for information from witnesses.
